Apples wants to phase out phones. Consumer has to pay for it

All you get is "this is the best we can do for you". And, their best is "nothing". *** nothing. I purchased an Apple 5S from an authorized seller of Apple products with an insurance. The phone net cost me INR.25K. I hoped that this should last me this year and I will buy a better phone soon. After 4 months of operation the phone just wouldn't power on. Why? I do not know. I take it to the service center to get it serviced. I had heard that Apple does replace its non-functioning phones. After 2 days of their investigation. I get to hear that this phone is has been tampered with. Am more than shocked. In my waking conscious I never took the phone to anywhere for anything. I was fuming and had all the rights to do so. Next, I take this to the Apple customer care service. After 12 days and speaking with 7 senior executives and countless number of calls. All I get is this phone is tampered with and Apple will not service it in warranty. Whatever, I desperately need a phone now. For how long can your business suffer. I asked for the price at which they will service it so I could get it reimbursed on my insurance. I get an answer in the form of "no service in or out of warranty". That is. Do whatever the *** you want to. Apple wants to take its old phones out of service so they do not have to manufacture its parts. What they do is lie to a consumer. In order to take it out of warranty. They lie to the consumer that he got it operated upon at local shop. A consumer who purchased a new phone and then paid for its insurance would get the phone operated outside which is still under warranty. Well done, Apple. Well done. I know you were a ***, not such a *** ***.

Apple - Iphone 6s Plus Cell Phone Review from Capitol Heights, Maryland

In May of 2015 I made the mistake of buying an IPhone 6 Plus from Apple. About that very time Forbes and other publishers presented articles after Apple admitted that the device had major problems. I tried to return the unused device for a reimbursement but employees at Apple's store in Pentagon City Mall refused. I wasn't happy being pushed around by a corporation that knowingly sold a defective product but because I expected problems I purchased an extended warranty. Slightly over one year later the phone locked up permanently and a rep in another part of the U.S. told me it was good that I bought an extended warranty. I then took the device back to the store and the corporation's employees had misspelled my name in their records even though they got it right when billing me for iCloud. They had an incorrect email address and called the wrong phone number to let me know to come to the store after waiting 3 hours in the mall. After that they told me that I had already received a replacement, which was absolutely untrue. I pointed out that I had the original and was then told to come back in 24 hours for a new phone. When returning to the store in about 24 hours the employees could not find my last name even though I clearly spelled it out in English multiple times and seeing it on the screen the day before. This day I was addressed by an employee who could not speak English clearly. When I said that I had come back for the "new phone" he said, "No. We fixed the chain." This was upsetting and caused more grief on top of s neurological seizure. A supervisor had to be informed but it did little good. The staff employee kept saying that the chain was fixed. He could not speak enough first-grade level English to say the term "exchange" and did not explain what was meant. The supervisor said that there was a communication problem the day before. It turned out that this communication problem was still taking place. They brought out what supposedly was a "new phone" but it was another IPhone 6 Plus, which was discontinued because of all the problems customers had. Staff supposedly setup this phone for me but didn't actually do it since no Apple ID was entered as it should have been. Even after telling the staff many times that I did not have a server they still entered the name of a server I had used for 18 hours in 2015. It's been one problem after another. If I were to receive a reimbursement without having to interact with Apple's staff at its Pentagon City Mall store then the issue would finally be closed.

When you buy an Apple product, it comes with its one year warranty. Should you have an issue within the one year warranty, Apple will fix or replace your product free of charge as long as there is no damage (I am not talking about the AC+ which covers 2 incidents of Accidental Damage).

In that clause which is part of the warranty, Should Apple replace the device you would get a like-for-like replacement device which may be new or refurbished.

Sorry you have issues with your device. Have you contacted Apple Customer Relations to lodge a complaint? Have you contacted a Manager at the Apple Retail Store?

Have you contacted your carrier to see if they would provide a different device. Although I do not believe you would be entitled to a new phone free of charge, it is worth a shot for you to look into.

Genius Bar is not *** bar

I had a bad customer experience on Genius Bar wherein I was rushed off by the Apple tech support rep and I was so let down by their customer service and this company needs to pay attention to the customers and when asked for another rep in the same store for a technical issue , I was advised to buy a new phone worth $350 and my phone was within warranty and such is low level of service in apple stores I will speak to apple customer service over the phone and let them know that they need to put their house in order to keep the customers loyal as we have choice in the market now.

Apple Laptop Review from Brisbane, Queensland

As a fanatic apple user, desktop five mac book airs, two apple watches, six iphones, two ipads in our house i am done with mac and tell everyone i can to stay clear. I talked a client out of buying one this week. We have had three of the six computers fail within two years. The third one just outside of the warranty period and apples response has been to email support after i sent a two page letter complaining about the length of time a $1600 computer is lasting. I couldnt care less now what im buying as long as i dont give them one more cent. Apple is *** and it died with Steve Jobs. Donesky.

3rd Apple device to die in as many months, appalled at their alleged service and customer support, rude over the phone service and the inability to serve customers that have spend big dollars on *** apple products. I have an orchard of dead Apple products now. Lost memories etc. $1000 to use a third party to retrieve my information. Not good Apple. My next technology buy up is soon and I can't wait to give Samsung my hard earned cash. Good luck in the future Apple, I'm only one person but we are adding up. I really can't see Apple leading the technology war for much longer.

Do not purchase an Apple or Mac product. you've been warned!!!!

Do not believe the Hype about Apple products and/or MAC Book Products. You've been warned. Long story short: I purchased a Mac book air from the Apple store in NYC in September 2015. Within the first week the Mac Book air was defective. For example: I did not consistently receive e-mails. No, it wasn't in my spam file, read file or trash. It simply went missing. Once I was doing a screene sharing session with Darren from Tech support and he witnessed an e-mail notification entering my Inbox then it mysteriously disappeared. vanished into thin air NEVER to be found. While I am conducting business by typing professional e-mails the font and tabs will look consistent. When the receiver get it the fonts and tabs are distorted etc. There were sooo many problems with this pathetic piece of *** lap top. but the most horrific experience were the customer service staff and tech support. Rude, disrespectful and dishonest. It got to the point where they acknowledge the problem, viewed the problem but to date refused to exchange the product for one that works consistently as advertised. Or provide me with a refund. In other words they are aware that they sold me a defective product but refuse to have integrity to take it back and give me one that works. So, if they feel they can treat me like this and get away with it they will do the same to you. How dare Apple treat it's customers with such disrespect. Selling malfunctioning defective products and not care. Im through with being patient with them. I am through with their incompetent tech support staff not being able to resolve it and done with their pathetic dishonest staff in the corporate office. FYI- Record all conversations you have with them because they are very dishonest. I am in the process of taking them to court. I am so glad I recorded (with their acknowledgement) the conversations because it will be the proof I need for when the previous representative promised me things but never delivered. Also you need to record your conversations with them to protect your rights. According to one rep there was no notes of the numerous complaints until I provided proof then all the notes mysteriously appeared. SMH. Because of Apple choosing to be a scam, deceiving the public by stealing our money while selling defective products it is my job to make sure I warn each of you. Had I known this is how Apple deals with their customers I would have never done business with them. they are horrible. So it is my job to warn you. In addition, I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, and will inform everyone I can not to do business with Apple. Instead I strongly suggest that each of you reading this give your money to a corporation who respects you and value you as a customer. Money is power. the only way selfish companies like Apple/Mac understand that they are wrong and will correct the era of their way is if you hit them in the pocket. Don't support any company who do not respect you. They need you. they need us. We don't need them or their product their are too many competitors around that provides better products than Mac, better and more professional customer service/tech support and who value you as a person and a customer. Don't purchase Apple product or Mac. You've been warned!!!!

Missing e-mails do not mean you have a hardware or even a software related issue. It is possible your e-mail account is added as an IMAP account to your MacBook Air and added as a POP e-mail account on your previous computer.

Perhaps you should brush up on your technology education. As for your font issue being distorted, most likely 3rd party fonts causing issue or your doing it wrong, either way not Apple's issue.

Worst support

I bought a iphone in Republic of Ireland in 2013 December. Suddenly phone home button is getting heat severely and it damaged my finger. Registered a complaint through apple support complaint number is 107297**** but didn't receive any call or update from them. I'm continuously chasing them for update as this is a very serious safety issue but no one bothered to respond to me. Apple never bothered about users safety its very irritating because we spend so much to buy apple products but this is what they give back to customers.

Otrageous!

Couple of months ago, I have purchased new iMac and additional Thunderbolt screen. ( BTW, this is my 10th iMac) Now, my Thunderbolt screen is black when I turn on my computer. After several calls to Apple care, we discover that port on my computer is not good. They cannot help me if I do not ship computer back to them so they can fix it and that would leave me without computer for 2 weeks. I cannot afford not to work for 2 weeks! Other option is to take this computer to the Apple store and that would be even worse! Last time when I went to Apple store, young girl at Manhattan beach store refuse to help since they were to busy that day. Believe me that was terrifying experience since iMac is heavy and parking lot is really far away. Also, when you take computer to Apple store to be fixed they usually take at least week to have it fixed. And that is again 7- 10 days for me without being able to work. Outrageous! After so many years of working with iMac I will have to switch to PC!

Apple only will have a mail-in option for the portable computers. An onsite is only available if you are in North America and you have the AppleCare for the iMac purchased already and registered on your product. A carry-in is the only option weather that's to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Well,

They came and fix my computers on site!

This happens first time since I started with iMacs ( 10 years ago! )

I am very happy and extremely grateful!

Taking back my critics!

#1154747

So if it's a black screen, you still won't be able to use it...the quicker you take it, the quicker it gets fixed...I deleted the mean part I was gonna say

#1115111

Not sure what you expect them to do---come out to your home to fix it? That ain't gonna happen.

You should always have a spare computer to use in cases like this.

Just go buy a spare one and use it till the other comes back from repair. This is not rocket science!

Apple customer care erased all my photos and apps

I wonder what the point of ringing Apple care was. Their incompetent advisors created one problem after the other. I first rang in for advice to free storage, and the consultant led me through the steps to move pictures to the Cloud. Once I hung up, I had more storage but my pictures were not on the Cloud. This led to eight subsequent calls to recover my photos, and step by step the reckless people that call themselves care specialists deleted my apps and music with the idea of restoring a back up. I am terribly upset and these heartless Apple care people don't bother to follow up or return calls. Horrible customer service and I wont be purchasing another Apple product

Pathetic - No grievance escalation process

Customer ID: 112238 Name: Rupali Tripathi Address: E 1203 park view city 1 sohna road sec 48 Gurgaon Haryana India 122018 Product: iPhone 5C Model: IPHONE 5C,MM,16GB,WHT Serial Number Of Device: F78MM41XFL01 I had purchased an iphone 5c last year in June 2014. The handset created some software issue in February 2015 and when I had shown it to the Apple service centre at S-114 1st Floor, Sahara Mall, Mehrauli Road, Gurgaon- 122001, Haryana, India, I was told that the handset has an issue and the same will have to be replaced. As a customer, I had no choice but to agree to the change of the device. I am attaching the job sheets for your reference. 3 days back, when again I had a problem in the handset and went to show the same to the same Apple service centre, they told me that there is some software problem, but when I told them there was no software problem as I was able to get call & message alerts on my phone but the same were not displayed on my screen. So, perhaps the screen had a problem. On listening to this and on my insistence, the apple centre executive opened up the handset. He then told me that the handset had a hardware problem and the two internal components are missing in the handset which is the reason for its non-functioning. I am shocked when the service centre refused to accept the handset saying internal components are missing from the set. If internal parts were missing, how was I supposed to know this? If a defective handset was handed over to me in February in exchange of my product that I purchased for Rs. 36,000, how am I responsible? Was I shown the internal machinery inside a phone at that time describing me various internal components? If NOT, then how was I supposed to check this???? This time I feel cheated as a customer by a brand like APPLE, whom we trust blindly! I am now told that the handset will not even be looked for repair options because of the missing components !!!! I am surprised that who is checking whether internal components found missing were even checked when Apple handed me over a new handset in february? I would not even have known if it was mentioned in the job sheet at all? It is even more shocking for me that when a customer can trust the brand blindly, how can the brand allegate the customer of foul play. My justification is that why will I ever steal the internal components (which I don't even know about) from my OWN handset? The executive at Apple service centre has stated in his job report that the handset is damaged with scratches. I am aghast at the rude behaviour of the staff and am attaching the pics of my handset for you to examine how many scratches it has! It is one of my prized possession and has been kept with utmost care. I have begun to question the credibility & integrity of a brand by knowing this shocking theory! The worst part is that whoever I ask now, says that once the job sheet once filled by the apple care executive (in my case it has been filled that the handset is tampered etc. etc.) is treated as a bible by customer care across the globe! But I want to escalate this issue because this is a wrong information and I feel cheated! I have had a hard time locating this email id from one of the franchises of iphone sellers in India. It is again quite astonishing how Apple does not have any grievance escalation email id! I dont even know if I my escalation will really help...but I am angry at the brand's audacity to call me a cheat (atleast implictly...by telling me that the internal missing components are my fault! )...and I am definitely looking for a better solution to this than to the rude answer on my face that the handset is irreparable! Today again, after 5 days the Apple customer care executive Mr. Manish Talwar called me to tell me that the case has been denied. My question is how can they deny the case without even listening to my story? They are just repeatedly saying that the handset has missing components..but they have no proof that the components when the handset was handed over to me! I am looking for a solution to my problem. -Rupali 981183****

Apple does not back up their product! I'm on my second iPhone 6 and waiting for my 3rd replacement all due to audio issues! I'm so frustrated with Apple care over the phone. No one really cares about the issues and they transfer you from person to person. Each time I call it's over 45 mins. No one cares about you as s customer I feel.

MacBookPro $1100 Lasted One Year

Motherboard failed just after one year passed. Re extended warranty, here is what I told them: "I did not purchase an extended warranty. Fact is, I consider the sale of extended warranties to be a form of false advertising. When I pay more than One Thousand Dollars for a mere laptop, I expect it to work for a number of years to come. I am sure that you will agree that this is a reasonable expectation. I do not expect to have to pay an additional several hundred dollars to insure your company against the possibility that your machine might have a problem that will cause it to fail in a year. If, in fact, building equipment that WILL last more than one short year requires that you put a higher price on it in the first place, then do so. That way, those of us in the open market can fairly assess whether it is worth it to us to pay, for example, Fourteen Hundred Dollars (the cost that would have included an extended warranty) for your item, and make a fair decision about the value to us. Any other approach, Apple, is, frankly, dishonest."
