Got no help from "tech" I paid for from apple

I called the apple help line to get help with my mac pc which wouldn't turn on. After about half hour with a Tennesee person who was impossible to understand, he told me he would need me to pay $29.00 for one month service. I gave him my credit card and then he told me to turn it on, even though I had told him in the beginning that it wouldn't turn on. I told him off and hung up. Apple is unfair!! Don't agree to pay the tech $29.99, he will not help you at all. I am going to refuse payment on my credit card

Reaping advertisements

The free scrabble app has used a trapping advertisement for Mazzda multiple times, even after many complaints in the reviews. Is Apple aware of this unconsciable abuse.? If Apple and Mazzda don't respond with meaningful action, I will generalize this abuse to Apple and advertising on the Internet. Is this how advertising will be practiced if the industry buys its way into mobile phone advertising? Write your congressman using this example to fight intrusive, abusive advertising. We all know how effective the do not call list are - let's fight back We also know how the Ipad will not handle Adobe Flash. they don't tell you this before you purchase

Downloading fro ipad2 to ipad4

Used all my memory in iPad 2 64 gigs with over 1000 apps in 60 folders holding 20 apps. bot iPad 4 128 gigs . Impossible to sinc from iPad 2 to iPad 4. folder names not the same as I set up and can't down load in one step,it's taking many days.company make it hard to ungraded to a better model. Should be simple way to put everything on iPad 2 to iPad 4 in one snc step. Also bounces back to main menu in the middle of an app. I do want to use both iPads for different uses.

There is an easy way, you just make a back up and restore from it... Do some quick research online before writing complaints on a public forum.

Also...

Sounds like you're a data hoarder... 1000 apps?

That's not necessary whatsoever... Don't buy a new iPad, just clean up your old one a little.

Time Capsule not recommended

I have finally abandoned my Apple Time Capsule. Whilst I am generally an Apple fan this is probably their worst product. Time Capsule are relatively slow, run too hot and far too expensive. The irony is that time machine runs better on non-apple external drives. The so called benefits can be achieved at less than half the price with competitors products (for example a wireless networkable external hard drive etc.) Some of their other bad ideas include thunderbolt connectivity on computers that connects to nothing, the new iPhone 5 lightning connector, Reminders and the aversion to USB and compact flash memory cards. Overall Apple is beginning to become the follower to Samsung in a number of areas.

Apple won't support new defective iphone

I received my new iphone 4 from fedex and set it up. After a few minutes I realize the wifi only works 5 feet or less from the router. I follow all of the Apple troubleshooting instructions and call when they don't fix the issue. They v offer me the privilege to schedule an appointment at a store, be without a phone for 5 days plus or pay $30 and have a $450 hold on my credit card. Thanks. .. Amazon replaced a defective Kindle with free overnight shipping no questions asked. Apple sucks and I cannot people act like the option to waste 2-3 hours in a store on their schedule is good service.

Unintended purchases

I have six tracks that I thought I had cancelled before they downloaded. I don't have a card anymore, and I can't get the songs and apps that I have previously purchased. These charges need to be removed, even if it means I lose those tracks. If nothing can be done about this, then I will take my business elsewhere. I'm tired of the same old song and dance routine I recieve from your HR department. It's starting to get very frustrating with the lack of action or concern for your customers. I will not hesitate to leave your company, as I have had enough of your service issues.

"I will take my business elsewhere".... Ha.

Every company is that way...

Click agreee/yes/Ok on a purchase and then not want it? Tough ***.

#649085

Actually, regardless of whether or not you stopped the download, you agree to purchase before the download. You agreed to the charge, so they probably will not refund.

Also, anything you purchase from iTunes, you can ALWAYS redownload to any device. It doesn't matter if you have a card on file or not. You can also set up your account (as many do with kids), so that there is no card at all. You just need your Apple ID and password.

If you can't remember it, you can reset your password.

Apple solutions to wifi problem? The world needs to buy new routers!

Iphone 5 32gig memory I have not been able to access certain wireless routers wifi connections even when typing in the proper passwords. If you receive the error unable to connect. You have probably tried a number of problem resolutions to switching the Proxy to auto and trying to shut off your cell us and enabling wifi then. Maybe you connect and see the wifi signal stagger from full bars to 2 bars as the pin wheel keeps going and going next to your wifi bar. Try and get to a site and you're left waiting and waiting. I called Apple Customer support and spoke with a Tim: Who stated the following. They are aware of the problems with Wifi. They have updated the wifi for their IOS6 devices. however, the transmitter on the new Iphone is different than the ones in the Iphone 4, and 4S. The new one is having difficulty connecting with older wireless devices whose firm ware is out of date or no longer supported. Since the Iphone passes all F.C.C requirements and meets all standards it is not the job of apple to chase after manufacturers for incompatible devices. The advise was to get anyone with the outdated firmware or router to update the firmware or buy a new router. They were also aware of issues with Verizon and Comcast routers which have protocols that restrict the Iphone 5 from connecting and is the job to personally go in and fix the issues. The information can be found on the respective companies web page forums. So apple has released a phone that may or may not work with routers by standards they have deemed to be outdated. More or less this is them saying. We are technologically superior and come out with superior technologies. Anyone who does not choose to keep up with our standards is at a loss and they will not compromise. So it is up to everyone to stay on top of firmware updates and updating outdated hardware. As someone who just spent a pretty penny replacing his old phone with the upgrade price to a phone that now charges me for data as I have lost my unlimited data through Verizon by upgrading. Tim was unapologetic when blaming other companies for not being able to keep up with apple. As far as I am concerned here, it is the job of apple to make sure that their phones can communicate with at least relevant technology. I am not asking a dial up be turned in a wireless high speed connection. The internet security protocols haven't changed so much a transmitter cant be adapted to function with them. If there is an issue with these devices it is up to both companies to work out a fix. If people can't connect they will go elsewhere as I am doing. I will be returning my apple iphone 5 tomorrow to attempt another shot at dealing with droid and their overheat issues... Or back track to an Iphone 4s.... So aggravated by the lack of customer care or resolving a major issue with the phones coming out. Apple won't fix their wifi transmitters. because its not their fault their phone doesn't work with older routers... The Iphone 5 was returned as of 1/21/13, if this is how apple wants to operate they will no longer have my buisness. They want everyone to upgrade router because their phone can't connect!

So basically what you're saying is that you are mad because Apple continues to push industry standards. And because your old a/b router lasted longer than it should have.

My I Phone is a Documented Lemon

My I Phone 4 has never worked properly. I called Sprint 5 times about the random split messaging, to no avail. I went to the Apple store in Spokane, updated my IOS, told the "Genius" about the messaging issue, and was given a benign smile. The next day, my Camera app was gone, the touch screen freezes, my apps crash, and Apple has the complete record. Until I do a "restore" on I tunes, they won't consider replacing my phone, they won't respond to my requests for finding the camera. I am Pissed. I want to fling my phone and I Mac thru their big window!

Horrible Service.....Apple Has Become Too Successful and Are Taking Customers for Granted!!

Gave my son the run-around with his NEW Iphone5. I had to intercede with AT&T and Apple and get a replacement phone - WHICH IS UNDER WARRANTY. Jury is still out with this Apple Store, but I fear the worse given the experience we've had so far. ------------------------------------------------ />UPDATE & Final Verdict! - We had our under-warranty phone shipped directly to his apartment in Boulder (this is after making a big stink) and my Son went back to the Apple Store (3rd time) to see if they would accept his old phone.....saving him the time and effort of going to the Post Office. NO HELP FROM THE STAFF AND THEY SUGGESTED HE MAIL IT BACK. Now let me ask you, does this sound like good service? Apple will become another General Motors in time with this sub-par Customer Service! Beware and stay clear of this Apple Store!

Get over it. You tossed a fit because you didn't like their answer and whined your way it a swap from Apple Care via mail.

And they likely told you that you have to MAIL back your old phone.

You went to a store, I bet without asking if you could return it to a store, and whined cause no you can't.

Whaaaa whaaaa what a great example for your son

#597586

I don't mind supporting someone with their frustrations, but what was the problem in the first place. We know it has to do with the iphone 5, but what was wrong with it?

(Bad Wifi? Bad screen? etc.) Then what was apples resultions to the problems and did they persists meaning it is something wrong on apples end and not the consumer... Unless there is more to this post I am not seeing!

All I am seeing is your son got the run around... Something about At&t and some jibberish about getting a new phone, something about an old phone being accepted. etc!

We as comsumers have the power to get companies to change practices, but we need to make sense. Establish the problem, the resolution failures, and what we expect in the future!

I finally gave in and got an iPhone...the truth is I love it BUT only two months in and what I had feared, happened...my credit card number was compromised...every week you read about apple customer cc numbers being stolen..that was a big reason I stayed away, well some slob in San Jose tried to make purchases at Target and Wa;greens...my bank declined both, but now I am stuck with no card for two weeks or so...what a pain. If this happens again I am getting rid of the phone.

Telephone support fail

Having suffered a hard drive failure I called my local apple store for help finding HD repair software. The local apple store telephone rep didn't have any advice or even know if they had software in stock but transferred me to another division who they said would help. This division then transferred me to another division etc etc. Finally I ended up transferred to Applecare. I hadn't called Applecare originally because I wasn't seeking a repair and my laptop was out of warranty. I just wanted to know where to find disk repair software for my Mac. At this point the famous Apple customer service melted down. The conversation began with "Can you give me your computers serial number". I explained that I wasn't seeking applecare support but was rather trying to find software to solve a problem and had been transferred to him. But the agent insisted and I finally give him my serial number. At this point he got a bit loud " SIR YOUR COMPUTER IS NOT COVERED BY APPLE CARE" ... I replied again that I wasn't seeking Apple care support. The response to this was (also very loud and impatient) "Then why are you calling us??" I explained that I hadn't called them but had been transferred to them. At this point he just repeated loudly many times "Sir you have called the wrong number please redial the correct number". I tried to ask to be transferred to the correct department but after about a dozen repetitions of "you have dialled the wrong number we can only help applecare subscribers" he hung up. I finally travelled to my local apple store (about 2 hours) and found they didn't have disk repair software. The laptop remains broken and unusable.

Bad customer service

I recently purchased an apple i-pod shuffle that was defective and received an e-mail to take it to an apple store in leawood kansas for a refund or exchange just to be told no refunds or exchange they wanted me to wait three hours for a tech to look at it i will never purchase an apple product ever. The people i spoke with were rude and seem to be talking to other customers rudely. When u first go in the store it total and complete confusion. One of the workers even told an elderly man that he could carry a plastic bag from another department store incredible.

Apple customer service in Warsaw

Dear Apple! Please, teach your consults in Warsaw how to communicate in English! My Polish is poor, and when i came to "iSpot" and just asked for a consultation in English, they were just staring at me and can't say a word. Finally, they're found a guy who can understand me, and i asked to show me the iPod shuffle, because i want to test it before buy. But when he brought me the test one, he realized that it was discharged! Is it normal for such prestigious company? I don't think so. Totally unsatisfied. And still without iPod.

They are authorized but they are not part of Apple. Your complaint needs to be made to/about the actual shop. After all they are the ones in POLAND that only gave staff that speak Polish, don't bother to charge their demos etc

Apple Iphone 4 has hardware problems and they won't fix it without charging $150 for replacing it with a refurbished iphone 4. Genius bar employee made me wait for 30 minutes saying a software update may fix the problem. Then when i agreed for update telling me at last that i will lose all the data on the iphone. Waste of my time & extremely disappointed with Apple who cannot provide a solution for their defective product. Apple needs to take responsibility and answer the customers for their mistake. Genius bar guys ... are they really helping people?? I doubt it!
