Just been to the Apple Store in Braehead Glasgow with my Powerbeats 2 headphones - purchased in June 2015 - the bud housing on the left side has broken off. Feedback from the Store is i broke it so my problem, not theirs. I know that the headphones suffered no shock or damage to cause the failure but i was effectively told i was a liar and it would cost £82 to repair. I have been involved with Apple for the last 35 years and this is a very disappointing stance from Apple and i would certainly not put my own personal integrity at risk to obtain a replacement pair of headphones. I feel extremely indignant on this matter and i will pursue the matter through MasterCard and also Apple.

*** poor customer service, impossible to book 'genius' actually, thickie bar appointment. I went, just to be told they wouldn't look at my phone as I had the screen replaced. Had Apple charged a reasonable price for screen replacements and had I been able to book repair, I would have gladly used them. I've had enough of poor support and lock in, I'm going android.

I sent the Ipad Mini 2 for repair to apple because of broken glass. While making a ticket (it was still under warranty) they downloaded software to my ipad and it found problem with battery. I made notes in the ticket to give me an estimate for broken glass. They sent a box and I sent the ipad there - without any communication they sent the ipad back saying physical damage which was my complaint formt he beginning. After contacting support I was told it was my fault since I made the ticket the wrong way and the notes WERE not read by support. They quoted me $220 for cracked glass which is the price of the new ipad mini 2. They also would not repair the battery unless the glass was replaced. What a bunch of loosers. Last Apple product ever.

Apple does not honors a warranty with iPhone 6S Plus

I have a brand new iphone 6S Plus ordered from Sprint. It is dead after more than two weeks. I stop by Apple Store for a repair. The technician there told me they have to ship it to Service Center in CA for further diagnostic. After more than a week, Apple Store call me that they do not honor the warranty because there is a unauthorized modification in the iphone. They said either I pay $749 for a new phone or I get the bad phone back without repair. I never open the phone for messing with the components inside. The phone is almost new, I use it only a few weeks. The phone is dead on me after an overnight charge and now I feel shocked because it looks to me I am the guilty guy 100% for the dead phone. I request Apple Service Center give me a description on what part has been modified so I can bring the issue to Sprint. They said their internal policy do not allow to disclose what part has been modified. They say about unauthorized modification and they are not telling me what part has been modified. I bought it from Sprint so either Sprint modifies it or I do but neither party has anything to do with this. Sprint ships this phone to me in a new box, I open it and use for more than two weeks. No messing around with internal parts. I try to explain the Store Technical Supervisor Team to no avail. Do they think about someone in Service Center in Sacramento swap the part or a technician incompetence of servicing the latest iphone model and the most easy way out is to blame someone with modification and close the case.

I am having them exact same issue. Apple store told me the same thing.

Phone is 3 months old battery died and wont turnback on. Apple said added circuitry via a modification.

Complete bs. Did they resilve your issue?

Sprint says that it needs a details document from Apple on what component has been modified.

Apple says that its internal policy does not disclose any component modification to any external party.

I got stuck between the rocks.

I will update when I have more news from both Apple and Sprint.

so, you took your computer into a busy store, without contacting them first to see if they could help you and then got mad when they couldn't? That's the equivalent of walking into a doctors office without an appointment and expecting to be seen as soon as you arrive.

Apple Store Service Not Business Friendly

One of 36 imacs I bought would not start up, so I went to the Apple store today. They are rather business un-friendly. I’d have to make an appointment they told me, or buy a special membership that would allow me to bypass the line. We have, what, several hundred macs under warranty and I’d have to make a service appointment and wait there every time one needed a repair? Things were better when Mactown was at the Greene in Beavercreek, Ohio before the Apple store opening forced Mactown to close. I was told it wouldn’t be fair for me to go ahead of people who were there before I was. Ok, I get that the Apple Store will refuse to make exceptions. But the part that gets me, is that “fairness” is thrown out the window if I’m willing to buy this special pass that allows me to skip the line! The Apple store is very egalitarian unless you will give them more money, then suddenly you become more equal than the little people who still have to wait in line! I just want to drop off my computer that is under warranty, you know? I don’t need or want to hang around there for 2 hours while they diagnose the issue. They were polite, but clear that they are set up for a consumer rather than business approach to service. I’m not a grandma that needs iMovie help and don’t have the time to wait for a mac “genius” to grace me with his presence to diagnose why my new computer won’t make a sound when it came out of the box. I just want it fixed. I have a phone – they can call me! If Apple has ever wondered why they have historically had a hard time getting a foothold in the business world, this is a great example. Apple does everything it can to close as many Apple Authorized Service Centers as possible (where I could just drop off my computer and have them call me with the diagnosis), and replace them with Apple Stores, which when it comes to providing service to business (larger mac customers), is a giant waste of my time.

Last year i bought and macbook pro 13 inch retina, after some month use i noticed that i got short on my choice on RAM memory, so i looked up how to upgrade the memory only to find out that it is not upgradable because the memory is solved to the main board . i ask in apple store how it is possible to not inform buyers to choose the size of RAM in day of purchase right because there is no fix after. the answer : "its not our job to inform about product manufacturing " wrong !!! i think thats exactly why you stand there and get payed. But i got an even better solution, really apple ginues worthy. "you can sell your Macbook and use the money to buy a new one with bigger RAM, you just lose a couple of hundred Euros." amazing, speechless and ashamed of what apple became. Then , just yesterday, My Iphone 5S called down and screen broke. So i go to apple store for fix. And the final strike from Apple to lose a life long costumer. They open Phone to change screen and give me back Phone un repaired with explanation that it was touched /opend by someone and so apple will not longer repair it. ??????? what , yes it felt down, you{apple} opened it,. what kind of personal apple is hiring? i mean really, i am so disappointed and tired. i simple give up, fixed phone in other place, not apple, because there are things on phone i need, but apple is dead for me. anyway if you phone or email them is so useless like *** against the wind. my question is: what happened to apple, where did they start to not care about there customers, what kind of personal is working there?

interesting .. I usually ask for the loyalty department.

Explain there incompetence.

and then get my product or service (ifthey do not repair in store, I get a new one) they do not win with me. State that you are reping there *** to your friends and family and you will stop if they do not help you.

Apple in Comstock Park, Michigan - I Pad Screen

Brought my apple I-pad air 64GB to the apple store seeking service for an erratic screen. My grandson had cracked this screen 6 months previously. I brought it to a non apple repair store to have the screen replaced. Which was completed w/o incident. Recently it started acting erratic and my wife suggested I take it to the apple store. Had of course to make an appointment drove across town and was greeted in the usual flippant attitude and was told it would be a few minutes before they were ready to look at my problem. I was brought up to a desk where a superficial young man greeted me and inquired about my problem. He took one quick look at it and said it was a screen problem. I told him the history to which he abruptly pushed the I -Pad back at me and said he couldn't even send it in since it was just out of warranty and had previously been serviced at a non apple establishment. So I asked him my options at this point and was informed all he could do would be to sell me a new one. His self righteous demeanor was now very irritating! I'm thinking what are you friggin high? You honestly think I want to purchase anything more from your self serving money hungray greedy SOB. Your *** on my leg and telling me it's raining! Never again! Drove 40 miles one way to be treated like this??? Apple service is non existent! Steve Jobs would be embarrassed. Can you say Microsoft.........

You should know that when you take an Apple device to service with a non-Apple service provider it automatically voids your warranty and Apple has every right to refuse your device. I suggest taking it to whoever changed the screen as the issue might be their fault.

I think you're exaggerating your interaction with the guy at the store."Flippant" attitude? The one with the flippant attitude was you in case you didn't know what flippant meant. And do you know what "self-righteous" means?

The guy was being completely honest with you. It's not his fault that you voided your warranty.

My partner broke my iPad. He sent it off to be fixed, we paid for it to be fixed and for it to be delivered back to his home address. However two months later it still had not arrived. He called apple and they said they did not have it they didn't know where it was. They offered to refund him £275 for the error. We were happy to accept that. They said they had to send a letter out so he could provide bank details to send it back to. However this letter did not come. He called up several times to check they had the right address yet still nothing. He asked them to email it to him they did not. Over a year later... Nothing.

I am using iphone 5s 32GB. My touch id sensor was not working, At first i thought it was some bug/software problem (a small issue), so i left this issue and continued using it. Few days before I gave it to service centre and next day i called them to check, they said i already opened the mobile and thats the reason my touch id is not working and also they said home button too now not working. They asked me to pay Rs 23000 to replace it with new one. But i never opened my phone or gave to anyone for sure. My mobile is there in warranty. When i gave to service my home button was in working condition. Now they explain that 'touch id and home button are in same area and touch id you already had problem, home button wire was just touching the tip of home button that's why you were able to use it and now you can't'. They refused to replace my mobile. I am really worried of their service. I thought apple a genuine standard company, but no, i am very upset.. I spoke to customer care for hours and hours and also went directly to service centre and tried explaining everything. They have declined the warranty saying my Iphone got opened by 3rd party services. Actually, i haven't given my Iphone to any of 3rd party for service because i still holding warranty with Apple. I hope no one go for 3rd party when they have warranty. They only argue that they have proof that i opened the mobile, they are lying. Service centre people are the first to open my mobile. I dont know how to prove. Its been more than ten days,spoke many times to them. No hope, With no choice now i have to pay them :(
