Service on apple keyboard for Ipad touch

I called on Friday night to have them look at the keyboard I bought six months ago. The LED for caps lock didn't work. The person on the phone said to bring it in and they would look at it. When I got there at 10:30 I was told I needed and appointment. I said no one had told me on the phone. The head geek said he'd see when someone could look at it. The soonest was 1:15 that afternoon. I said that's not service, I cant wait for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I asked if I could leave it, the answer was no. That really pissed me off, so I smashed the keyboard on the floor and walked out. I was followed by mall security who said they had called the police. I would up with a citation for disturbing the peace. If you keyboard doesn't work, plan on spening a lot of time there.k They never did answer my question as to why no one told me to make and appointment. I suppose I was supposed to know.

Apple - Poor Service and Quality

Prior to reading complaint below, every time I have contacted Apple to discuss this, they have either deleted all of my comments or when discussing on the phone tried their best to keep me from telling others. I have purchased my MacBook Pro about four years ago. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty, because the quality of it has been bellow par. Over the years I have had to take it in many times for all types of repairs. I do not know anyone why has a MacBook pro that had suffered as many issues with it as I have. It had the optical drive replaced twice (I barely use it, but when I needed it, it did not work). Had the battery replaced (covered repair and not due to use). The trackpad broke and many other small problems. After three years when it was no longer under warranty, the logic board malfunctioned and the computer kept locking up. This is understandable due to age, but after six months of use the same malfunction occurred and I had to pay for a new logic board. I figured the logic board should last for more than 6 months. The overall quality has been disappointing. I never thought that I would have to bring in an Apple product every several months for repairs. To top it off, the service offered by apple for repairs has been disappointing as well. During one of the repairs, the person doing the repair stripped one of the screws in the computer holding the bottom on. After that date that screw kept falling out and every time I mentioned it to apple when I brought it in, they refused to fix it. Recently when I brought in the computer to replace the second faulty logic board, I told the genius that I have not been able to back up my data due to the logic board locking up the whole computer. I needed that data and to ensure that it was not lost. What do I get in return? The computer was sent out to the depot, they replaced the hard disk with a slower one (I bought and had a 7200 rpm disk and they installed a 5400 rpm) but did not replace the logic board. I lose all my data, was given a cheaper slower disk that I did not pay for, and the correct repairs were not done. This is called *** service. The person that gave me my computer was more interested in getting me out of the store than helping me understand why Apple did not do the correct repairs and why they are trying to rip me off. I talked to another genius and had to have the computer sent back to the depot for correct repairs. I had always advocated for Apple products, but by how I have been treated by Apple, I do not want to be an advocate for Apple anymore. I thought that by buying an Apple product, I was paying extra for quality and good service. I was completely wrong. I have given Apple four years to redeem themselves constantly hoping that the service/quality improves, but as time went on, the service decreased and so did the quality of the parts that were put into my computer by Apple. I would advice everyone to think twice before buying an Apple product.

Apple - Didn't 't chek IPAD

I went to the only APPLE store in my town at downtown Charleston. My IPAD no longer made noise. The salesperson and that's what they are, they are not technicians, just turned my IPAD over, looked at the speaket and stated that the speaker compartment needed to be replaced. She told me that it would cost 300.00. At that time, I did not understand that I would get a new IPAD for this price, apparently, they don't repair them. But come to find out, this was not necessary. My husband showed me how to reset my IPAD and this fixed the problem. Why did the clerk not know or try this. If you have a problem, don't wate your time going to the store, where the people will try yo sell you something. Try resetting it properly or get it repaired elsewhere. If I had listened to them, I would have paid 300.00 for something that I didn't need!

Apple - Brought Laptop in for Repair, Came Back Broke

Brought my laptop in for a hard drive replacement; when I got it back, the trackpad bar didn't work right. Brought it back in a few days later- they now claim that I must have spilled something onto it (I say that in the 67 hours they had it after they repaired it, they must have spilled something). I know I didn't spill anything, and I had sole possession of it once I left the store. They claim to have run an overnight diagnostic which would prove that the battery was fine when it left, but I received the repair complete notice before they could have run an overnight diagnostic (the part was not in stock, and I received the completed notice the next day); also, if the diagnostic were run, it would have been 67 hours before I took possession of it. Now they want to charge me $755 to clean it and replace the battery (which swelled because of the unidentified liquid).

Sounds like you got your computer wet before the hard drive replacement and you just didn't know it. Either way, I highly doubt they are spilling liquid in computers at the Apple store and then lying about it.

It's much more likely that you got your computer wet yourself and just didn't see or know that it happened. Now you have to pay some money to get it fixed - makes complete sense to me.

Apple. poor customer service.

summarizing everything. i have been contacting them for half a year. i should have gotten a free software upgrade. but they didnt inform me when is the redemption period. when i got to know it.. the period is over. and so i emailed them. the online apple staff always offer their apologies and ask me to call customer support instead. okays fine i did. and so i call and call. following their instructions to do this and get that information. and what i got in the end was a big fat no. "are they kidding me?" not even a equal value of voucher for me to get that software. and when i asked whats the email to lodge a complaint. all i was given is a address. so it means that i have to pay to complain. i doesnt stand to gain anything.. do i? and the online website keep linking me here and there. doesnt get me to where i want. everything is online support. is apple THAT confident that everyone will be so satisfied of their services? for me. im not.

I used to do tech support for Apple from '03-'06. Then in '06 they laid us off and outsourced their technical phone support to Bangalore, India.

A lot of their Tier 1 agents for the desktop, notebooks, iPods and Apple base stations (wireless routers) were outsourced to India. They said it was cheaper to outsource to India. They even outsourced some tier 2 agents to India as well. So when you call in unless you're lucky you will most likely get an Indian agent that knows very little about Apple Products or how to troubleshoot them.

I may be wrong but I believe they outsourced some customer service agents there as well. Their support has gone down hill immensely since then.

I would recommend going into an Apple Store and speak to a Mac Genius who might be able to assist you with your issue. Good luck.

Do not buy Apple products in Israel

Apple uses a company in Israel. Idigital for all of it's repairs. They are slow and unreliable. I brought my macbook in for a repair. It has taken over 3 weeks and many phone calls just to get an estimate. Now, they tell me that they hope to have it fixed in a few days...unless they need to send out for parts. Since people are pretty dependent on their computers, I would never recommend buying an Apple product in Israel. Even though it is wonderful to work on a Mac, good service is a must. This does not exist Apple Israel. Sad but true.

Apple - IPod

June 11, 2009 Apple Care Service I'm very dissatisfied with the diagnostic evaluation that was performed on my iPod. There is no evidence of any external force, physical damage, of even a scratch. While listening to music the screen went white and then stopped. I find it easy for your company to simply pass this off as a damaged product to save money but let me make it clear I WILL NEVER AND ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS IF THIS IS NOT FIXED. I will give you one more chance to abide to the warranty that you so claim to guarantee. For the price of $150, and only one year warranty, I would expect your product to last longer than five months. Inside the return box that you sent back to my house was my original iPod and a copy of a mass printed APPLE CARE SERVICE FORM. The iPod was left to flop around inside the box unsecured with no support foam. Is this how all iPods are shipped??? The mass printed APPLE CARE SERVICE FORM looks to be a standard practice that your company just shipped back the customer. I think that my iPod was never inspected or troubelshooted to determine the problem. It probably never made it to a technician. In fact, I think someone is in place to receive, open the box, shove in a mass printed APPLE CARE SERVICE FORM, and send it back to the customer. Maybe he will pay more money to repair the problem. I'm will sent this to all my e-mail accounts and to the consumer report business.
