Itunes updates were already making itunes worse, but at least they didn't delete all of my music and break my ipod permanently. Apparently it tried to update to ios, which for some reason *** corrupted my ipod so completely that it would crash my actual computer the instant it plugged in.

This was consistent through all three computers I tried, including a Mac Air. I have since deleted itunes from both Windows computers. It was *** difficult to do considering that it automatically set itself to open on startup. Without permission.

I had to sneak up behind it, disable it, restart my computer, and then delete all its files. Therefore it is, without exaggeration, a virus.

Virus n. a piece of code which is capable of copying itself and typically has a detrimental effect, such as corrupting the system or destroying data.
