I purchased Apple Mac book Retina pro 13 serial number CO2QN1732926in 2015 and later as apple offers warranty of 1 year ,as soon as one year was over I asked apple store how customer of mac book can have peace of mind if warranty expires their suggestion was to go for apple care protection plan that is supposed to extend warranty till 2018 for my mac book.I purchased apple care protection plan paying a hefty charge for my MacBook in 2016 that extended the warranty till 2018. though I thought I will get peace of mind as I purchased the extended warranty.
Believe me, this is how the company makes us fool, the following incidence will prove how company like Apple which has trillions of dollar business world wide has no mercy for customers and even its technical service provider try all means to see that the warranty is void so that company will earn not only by selling (giving false promise) apple protection plan at hefty price but also denying service when it is required. In my case as one day I found my MacBook battery showing weak signals (after I did not charge my device for 48 hours, I saw battery charging did not raise the battery power more than 40% despite repeated trial.That time I called apple customer care and their adviser asked me to run some tests and as it did not set right the problem they told me as I have apple protection plan I can approach service centre, and I went to Nyasa Enterprise on 24th August 2017 (authorised service centre of apple) in Pimpri, Pune. They told me to leave the device and gave me a receipt and told after due check they would intimate me their feedback withn 24 hours.(Actually , it takes hardly 10 minutes to diagnose problem and tell the customer right away) I waited for their phone call but as days passed and I was still waiting for the phone call ultimately after waiting long (in mean while I was unable to use my mac book as I often use the same for patient care even for online reporting and communicating with my fellow pts) finally on 6th day call came from customer care team saying that they find that my device will not be covered by warranty as it had features of water spot inside. I was totally shocked as I take the best care for my laptop and mobile as these devices are used by me to offer professional service to my patients besides for all modern educated man these are indispensable.
as a responsible person, I take due care of my device and how the apple first of all pass on the buck to the customer and with a drop of a hat & tries to blame the customer and cancels the warranty, It appeared as a bolt from the blue for me after being blamed for all defects in Laptop(I understand even though Apple as tall claim these products are made in China and may be refurbished products. 1. customer care person cancels my right to get service under warranty 2.Customer care also deliberately tried to delay my case so that I will have no option but to go for paid service (out of desperation) as I had told them how important is the laptop for my professional life. After repeated request and pursual through customer care by calling apple customer care (ref number 100276229610) one Ms.
Simran a senior advisor tried to give me a break saying she will find out from service centre about the problem and try to amicably resolve the issue but after waiting another 48 hours (remember my laptop was there with service center for more than 9 days and I was running from pillar to post my only fault was I was taken for ride by apple in name of apple care protection plan (that as I think retrospectively now) that promises false assurance to customers. Finally after long wait, as my patience ran out and I did not think it worth to be bullied by the so called service personnel (who it seems are trained less to offer technical service but more on tricks of how to lay blames on customer and delay the case deliberately with intent to harass the customer and so that the customer falls flat at their feet or begs them to do the needful. If this is the fate of apple customer like me, God saves Apple customers.
Hope Tim cook who feels proud as CEO of Apple understands how customers get grilled by uneducated Technicians who in name of repairing products try to not only delay deliberately to offer service products so that customers will feel disparate and would agree with what ever judgement they issue and there is a nexus among the service team of apple India who waits for an opportunity to make the customer feel frustrated and would ultimately submit to their verdict. After this nightmarish experience as a customer I feel pissed and will never ever buy Apple product nor my family or friends will ever buy such products and later regret life time.
